India made a couple of changes to their
playing eleven – Dinesh Karthik and Sreesanth made way for Sachin Tendulkar and
Munaf Patel. Bangladesh made Ha(sibu)lf-a-dozen changes to the (Ras)eleven that
last played the Indians – Nafees Iqbal, Rajin Saleh, the Khaleds (Mashud and Mahmud),
Mushfiqur Rahman and Hossain made way for Tamim Iqbal, Shahriar Nafees,
Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan Abdur Razzak and Syed.
Rahul Dravid, India’s skipper, chose
to bat on winning the toss. Virender Sehwag, who faced six balls, scored just a
couple. Thirteen balls into the match, Mashrafe, the player of the
M(ortaz)atch, broke the six-run stand. Uthappa, who faced 17 balls, scored
nine. His (Rob)innings included a boundary. Twenty-seven balls later, he was
caught by Aftab Ahmed. Mortaza broke the 15-run stand.
